We need your help to send a clear message to Westminster: back British energy, protect British jobs and give Rosebank the green light.

It takes just a few minutes to contact your local MP and ask them to support the campaign. Here's how:

Step 1: Find your MP

Visit members.parliament.uk/FindYourMP and enter your postcode to find your local MP and their email address.

Step 2: Copy our letter

We've drafted a letter below explaining why Rosebank matters and asking your MP to support its approval before Christmas. Simply copy the text into an email.

Step 3: Make it personal and send

Add your name, address and email the letter to your local MP.

Step 4: Spread the word

Share this page with colleagues, friends and family. The more MPs who hear from their constituents, the stronger the message to Westminster.

The letter

Dear [MP's name],

For thousands of people working in the North Sea, the UK Government's recent decision to give the green light to Jackdaw was the best news our industry has had in years.

It was a victory for common sense. Now we need your support to go one step further.

I am writing to ask you to publicly support the approval of the Rosebank oilfield before Christmas and to make that case directly to the Prime Minister and the UK Government.

The North Sea has been through incredibly difficult years. Thousands of jobs have been lost, companies have pulled out, investment has slowed and businesses that supported our industry for generations have closed. Behind every job lost is a family, a community and skills Britain cannot afford to throw away.

The Government made the right call on Jackdaw and deserves credit for it. Ministers recognised that Britain will need oil and gas for decades to come, even as we build up renewables, and that producing energy at home makes more sense than relying increasingly on imports.

There is something deeply wrong with a situation where British workers can travel halfway around the world to produce oil and gas that we then import back to the UK, but cannot do that same work in our own waters. Importing energy while exporting our jobs makes no sense.

Now we need the same common sense applied to Rosebank.

Rosebank is an even bigger opportunity: thousands of jobs, billions in investment, more work for UK businesses and significant tax revenues for public services and the energy transition.

I recognise it is a larger project, with a larger emissions footprint that must be properly considered. But so too must its greater economic benefits and contribution to our energy security. I believe the same balanced, pragmatic approach taken with Jackdaw should lead to a positive decision on Rosebank.

We should be proud of the people who produce the energy that keeps Britain moving. And we should support their ambition to help build our cleaner energy future.

As my elected representative, I am asking you to:

  • Publicly back the approval of Rosebank and recognise its importance to British jobs, investment and energy security.

  • Write to the Prime Minister and the Energy Secretary urging them to approve the project before Christmas.

  • Stand up for the North Sea workforce and support a pragmatic energy transition that protects existing jobs while creating new opportunities.

Jackdaw was a huge step in the right direction. Rosebank can take us further and show workers, businesses and communities across the UK that their jobs, skills and futures matter.

Please lend your voice to this campaign and help secure a positive decision on Rosebank before Christmas.

I would welcome confirmation of your position on Rosebank and whether you will raise this directly with the Government.

Yours sincerely,

[Your name]
